LITTLE ROCK AR., – October 4, 2022 – The Society for Education and the Advancement of Research and Connected Health (SEARCH) will be hosting the seventh annual National Telehealth Research Symposium November 16-18, 2022.
The National Telehealth Research Symposium connects health researchers, academicians and visionaries in telehealth and telemedicine to share findings and foster partnerships. These goals are more relevant today, in the pandemic’s digital world, than ever before – with telehealth usage 38x higher when compared to pre-COVID-19 pandemic.
“SEARCH is the one meeting to make time for to learn about cutting-edge research in telehealth – what works best, what are key metrics to measure impact, which patient populations benefit the most, and so much more,” said Elizabeth Krupinski, Vice President and Co-Founder of SEARCH. “SEARCH provides the opportunity for providers from all backgrounds and for researchers of all levels (including trainees) to interact with others engaged in connected health and share their experiences.”
This year’s keynote speaker will be Dr. David Rhew. Rhew serves as the Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Healthcare for Microsoft. Dr. Rhew also serves as an adjunct professor for the Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Rhew will provide real world examples to showcase the progress made in the field of telehealth along with future opportunities that lie ahead.

Past symposiums have included presentations from nationally-recognized leaders in telehealth and healthcare including Elise Sweeny Anthony, Executive Director of Policy at ONC; Hari Eswaran, Professor at UAMS Institute for Digital Health & Innovation; Keith Kanel, Chief Medical Officer for the Pittsburgh Regional Health Initiative; and Wakina Scott, Director of the Health Resources and Services Administration.
“Other conferences may have a track or two for telemedicine, but SEARCH is dedicated to providing a venue that is 100% about telehealth and free from commercial bias,” said Krupinski.
Throughout the three-day event, panels will cover a variety of topics on telehealth including research infrastructure in academic medical centers, research tools, methods & policy, equity, education and more.
